Help Labs Worldwide on Giving Tuesday

What is Giving Tuesday?

Celebrated on the Tuesday following the huge shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday encourages people to kick off the holiday season by donating money, time, or resources to the causes that are important to them. Created by the team at the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact in NYC in 2012, Giving Tuesday has grown into a global phenomenon, primarily driven by engagement on social media, surrounding the hashtag #GivingTuesday.

Donate to the Global Health Fund

This Giving Tuesday, NSH is urging our histology community to support the development of laboratory diagnostics by donating to the Global Health Fund. The ASCP Foundation's Global Health Fund supports diagnostics in countries where access to pathologists or medical laboratories is virtually non-existent. The Foundation helps to cover the costs associated with establishing and enhancing labs and training local personnel.

Help NSH and ASCP give the gift of accurate patient diagnosis where it is needed most.

You can donate to the Global Health Fund online by clicking here, or you can donate via text by texting “ASCP” to 20222 to make a one-time donation of $10.

Resources Wish List

The ASCP is also accepting resource donations including:

  • Automated tissue processor

  • Semi-automatic microtomes

  • Embedding stations

  • Slide staining racks/auto-stainer

  • Grossing hood

  • Durable block storing racks

If your lab is able to make a resource contribution, click here to download the resource donation form.
