There is officially less than a month until NSH’s Symposium/Convention and histologists are excited! Amanda Kelley, St. Louis native, shares some travel advice for your spare time between workshops.
Our Convention hotel, the Marriott Grand, has seen every Presidential visit since the 1980's. Presidents Trump, Obama, Bush and Clinton have all visited or stayed there.
"So St. Louis is rolling out the RED CARPET for HISTOTECHNOLOGY"
The hotel reservation deadline is August 30th, 2018 by 5PM! Click here to book at the Marriott St. Louis Grand or the Courtyard St. Louis Downtown
If you go to the river there are two casinos, one named Lumiere which is on the Missouri side and one named Casino Queen, which is on the Illinois side. These casinos essentially don't close: so don't start something and miss class the next day! The buffets at these casinos are around $25 and are all you can eat. Fridays at Lumiere is King Crab night so get there after the First-timer's Reception!
FoodYou can't say food in St. Louis without saying BBQ. Lucky for us, Sugar Fire is to your left when you come out of the front door of the Convention Center. MMM MMM GOOD. It's dry rub and you can choose your favorite style of sauce from Carolina, to Texas to Kansas city and of course St. Louis Style.
Like Pizza? St. Louis has its own style of pizza, totally different than any other in town, you must try Imo's. Of course, you can get St. Louis's favorite......Toasted Ravioli's
You have to taste St. Louis's take on the Chicago Style Pizza. I like Pi Pizza better than any other… YUMMY!!! Lucky for you this pizza company is directly across the street from the convention center. I can personally attest that this is a Presidential favorite.
