What's New at the 2019 NSH Convention?

NSH’s Symposium/Convention has been a staple of NSH’s educational offerings since our founding in the 1970’s. Over time, the Convention has evolved with the changes in the histology profession. This year’s S/C, to be held in New Orleans, LA, offers more opportunities than ever for histology specific networking and learning you can’t find anywhere else. Here is a sneak peak of what you can expect to find at this year’s Convention:

Digital Posters: Poster sessions are an opportunity for histologists to share their research with other attendees in the form of a scientific poster, displayed in the Convention Exhibit Hall. This year, the poster sessions will be more interactive than ever, as they will be displayed digitally! The deadline to submit a poster abstract is July 2nd. Learn more here.

More CEUs for Less: Education is a huge part of attending a conference, so NSH has made it easier and cheaper for you to earn all the credits you need to maintain your certifications. All regular classroom workshops are included in your registration fee! This means no more pre-registering for each workshop and paying per credit! You can earn up to 20 CEUs for only $299 as a member (prices increase June 15th though, so you better hurry!). Register before the early bird deadline!

New Networking Opportunities: There are two new social events this year, Boxed Lunch Roundtables, and a Networking Reception. The Networking Reception will take place Monday, September 23rd and is included in your registration! This is a great opportunity to mingle with fellow histologists in a casual, fun, environment! The Boxed Lunch Roundtables are $35 and can be added to your registration. Enjoy a lunch while discussing relevant histology topics with fellow attendees. Add a networking event to your schedule.

Hands On Training: A huge advantage of attending an in-person event is the hands-on training opportunities they provide. NSH is offering 12 hands-on training courses (called HOTs) that you can add to your registration to get real experience in cutting edge specialties including image analysis, IHC and the Mohs Technique. Check out the list of hands-on trainings.

Registration prices go up after June 15th so don’t wait to register! See you in New Orleans!
